Health & Welfare Technology Expo will be held online on Monday 9th November 2020 and Tuesday 10th November 2020 from 9 am.
The event will begin with the ”Welfare Technology Now and in the Future” webinar, which will last throughout Monday. The webinar will present examples and experiences of various welfare technology solutions in both everyday and professional use. In addition, there will be presentations on future opportunities and product development perspectives. The keynote speaker of the webinar will be Johanna Ollila, Research Manager at the Finland Futures Research Center (FFRC) of the University of Turku. Come hear, network and get tips for work and everyday life. The webinar is organized by the Satakunta DigiHealth project. The project is funded by the Satakuntaliitto –Regional Council of Satakunta (ERDF) and the municipalities in the area.
Interested in ideating concepts for smart clothing and smart furniture? In Smart furniture and wearables workshop different technologies and their possibilities are presented. You can see some prototypes and meet partners from different disciplines. The workshop is all about networking. The three topics covered are 1) Improvement and use ideas for the smart furniture, 2) Improvement and use ideas for the smart clothing and 3) Ideas that you or your company can bring to the development of such technologies. The workshop is targeted at furniture, textile and technological businesses, healthcare professionals, researchers and students. The workshop is organized by Baltse@nioR 2.0 and ReactiveToo projects. Satakunta University of Applied Sciences’ Simulation Centre for Health and Welfare is open for visitors through an interactive virtual tour. The tour lets you see 360 photos of different rooms of the Simulation Centre, including a hospital department, simulation room, operating room, Kokeilimo and two reflection rooms. The interactive tour was created by Santeri Saari, Anja Poberžnik, Sinikka Paukkunen and Kirsti Virta. More info about the Simulation Centre.
The event will continue at 5 pm with the Welfare Technology Expo evening extras when the exhibitors will present their technologies virtually.
